Website terms.
Last updated 26 July 2026. These terms apply when you access or use the Overseas Accounting website.
1. Website purpose
This website provides general information about Overseas Accounting and its New Zealand-focused accounting preparation services. Using the website or submitting an enquiry does not create a professional-client relationship or service engagement.
2. No professional advice
Website content is general information and is not accounting, tax, legal, investment or other professional advice. It should not be relied upon for a specific decision without advice from an appropriately authorised New Zealand professional who understands the relevant facts.
3. Professional boundaries
References to annual accounts, GST returns, bookkeeping, tax workpapers, migration or compliance describe possible preparation-support workflows. New Zealand advice, regulated services, return approval, filing, assurance opinions and professional sign-off remain with the appropriately authorised professional unless a signed engagement expressly provides otherwise.
4. Enquiries and confidential information
Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee acceptance of work. Do not submit confidential financial records, Inland Revenue documents, identity documents, credentials, privileged material or client data through the public website.
5. Accuracy and availability
We take reasonable care when preparing website content, but New Zealand legislation, thresholds, deadlines, Inland Revenue practice and software features may change. We do not guarantee that every page is complete, current or error-free, and website availability may be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons.
6. Intellectual property and software marks
Unless otherwise stated, the website design, original copy, graphics and brand elements are owned by or licensed to Overseas Accounting. Third-party software names and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed only to identify systems that may be used in a client workflow. Display does not by itself indicate partnership, endorsement or certification.
7. Third-party links
Links to Inland Revenue, Xero, software providers and other external websites are provided for convenience. We do not control their content, availability, privacy practices or security.
8. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Overseas Accounting is not responsible for loss arising solely from reliance on general website information, interruption of the website or content on third-party websites. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Engagement terms prevail
When services are accepted, the signed proposal, engagement letter, statement of work, confidentiality terms and other agreed documents govern the services. If those documents conflict with these website terms, the signed engagement documents prevail for that engagement.
10. Changes
We may update these terms when the website, services or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised date.
